It's kind of different but it's cool.Īlexa Vega: I haven't finished playing it. I do look animated 'cause it's a video game, but I have curly hair and right now my hair is kind of short, but I'm gonna grow it back. Now I don't look as much as I do in real life.
Playing myself in the video game and seeing myself in the movie is awesome. IGN: What's cooler to you and your friends, being in the movies or having video game characters modeled after you?ĭarryl Sabara: Both! It's very exciting to my friends and me to see me on the big screen and to play a video game, playing myself. That's when you see 'Oh, that's where my voice is dubbed in there and there.' So you don't really get to see what's going on right away, but afterwards it's an awesome payoff. You don't get to see exactly what's going on until the game is finished and you get to start playing it. All I had to do was say a couple of lines and I was out of there. IGN: Now that's a lot different than acting in front of the camera since you're basically in a sound booth reading from a script.Īlexa Vega: It was really easy. It's pretty cool to see myself in the video game, beating the bad guys. IGN: How extensively were you involved in the Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over game?ĭarryl Sabara: We did voiceovers. IGN: Does he hold back on you guys since you're kids?Īlexa Vega: Oh no, he plays hard. I play Robert at racing games like Mario Kart and stuff. I'm not allowed to play Halo or Dead or Alive. IGN: What about you, Darryl? Do you ever play against Robert?ĭarryl: I only play Robert on Nintendo games. Alexa Vega: He's better at Halo, I'm better at Dead or Alive.
